CORPUS CHRISTI – There’s an indictment for a local man accused of kidnapping a San Antonio teenager, sexually assaulting her and forcing her to perform at a local strip club.
Leslie Campbell, 48, was indicted Friday on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.
Police said Campbell forced the 14-year-old girl to dance at Cheetah’s Gentlemen Club and used a fake I. D. to get her the job.
The girl has since been returned to her family in San Antonio.

New Braunfels police arrested a local woman in an internet prostitution sting Tuesday.
Sara Salas, 24, was picked up through the Web site Craigslist.org by the New Braunfels Police Departments Community Response Unit, NBPD spokesman Lt. Michael Penshorn said.
We basically check the local advertising sites for things like stolen property or soliciting for things of this nature, Penshorn said.
An officer arranged a meeting with Salas; and after she indicated she was soliciting for sex, Penshorn said she was arrested.
Salas was taken to Comal County Jail Tuesday where she was released after posting a $2,000 bond Wednesday.
Prostitution is a Class B Misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000 and up to 180 days in jail.

A strip club that hired a 14-year-old as an exotic dancer is now suing the girl, saying the seventh-grader swindled them into breaking state law.
The San Antonio teen allegedly exposed her breasts while working at Cheetah Club in Corpus Christi, a violation of state law.
Alan Yaffe, the club’s attorney, said the club didn’t know the girl was a minor.
“She came (into the club) with 6-inch stiletto heels and a miniskirt and looked just like a model from a Miss America’s contest,” Yaffe said.
Yaffe also disputed the sequence of events that authorities say brought the 14-year-old girl to Club Cheetah, where she exposed her breasts – a violation of state law.

Texas 14-year-old Sued For Strip Club Flash
Texas (ChattahBox) – A teen who was allegedly kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and then given a fake ID in order to work at a strip club has been sued by the club’s owner.
Alan Yaffe, the proprietor of the Chettah Club, alleges that the unnamed defendant lied about her age in order to work at the club, and caused significant legal trouble for the establishment after flashing her breasts at a customer.
“She came into the club with 6-inch stiletto heels and a miniskirt and looked just like a model from a Miss America’s contest,” Houston-based website Chron.com quoted Yaffe as saying.
“We’re the victims here.”
However, Sgt. John Mann of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission disagrees with the assessment.
“I’ve seen this young lady’s picture, and I assure you she is a 14-year-old seventh-grader. I personally think any reasonable and prudent person could tell you that is an underage girl.”

It turns out the girl had been kidnapped, police say, and forced to work at the club. Leslie Campbell, 48, is accused of snatching the girl from her San Antonio home and taking her to Corpus Christi, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her for a week.

I don’t live in Texas, so my chances aren’t great, but I think this case would be interesting to hear. In Corpus Christi, the Cheetah Club — which, you’ve probably surmised, is a strip club — is suing a seventh-grader, age 14. She allegedly fooled them into thinking she was old enough to work as a stripper, which caused them to break the law.
